Hunter Renfrow Contract: Salary, Cap Hit, Potential Extension

Drafted late in the 2019 NFL Draft at No. 149, Hunter Renfrow has proved doubters wrong by becoming one of the most dynamic wide receivers in the NFL. He’s averaged over 10 yards per reception in his career and eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards in 2021 – just his third year in the league. Unfortunately, his fourth year in the league was filled with injuries, and he missed almost half of the 2022 season.
Hunter Renfrow Salary
The 27-year-old inked a two-year contract extension worth $32,329,000 on June 10, 2022. This included a $9,180,000 signing bonus, with $21,000,000 guaranteed and an average annual salary of $16,164,500.
In 2023, Renfrow will have a base salary of $6,500,000, a roster bonus of $4,949,000, and a signing bonus of $1,836,000. He also has a workout bonus of $100,000.
Hunter Renfrow Cap Hit
The 27-year-old will carry a cap hit of $13,126,000 in 2023. His contract has a dead cap value of $11,664,000 this year.
Hunter Renfrow Potential Extension
With the mess that Las Vegas was in 2022, it’s hard to predict whether Renfrow will continue to be on the Raiders. The team has signed another slot receiver, Jakobi Meyers, this offseason, which may push Renfrow out the door.
The wide receiver will turn 28 in December and is currently signed until he is 29. He signed the extension after a breakout season and is number 21 on the list for the highest paid at the position. Renfrow definitely has the skill set to continue at a high level based on his production in minimal snaps in 2022 and should be in line for an extension.
With Renfrow’s contract set to end in 2024, plenty of teams will keep their eyes on his situation in Vegas. A trade may be on the horizon.
