Player | Team | Odds |
Brook Lopez | Milwaukee Bucks | -154 |
Jaren Jackson Jr. | Memphis Grizzlies | +140 |
Bam Adebayo | Miami Heat | +2200 |
Giannis Antetokounmpo | Milwaukee Bucks | +2500 |
Anthony Davis | Los Angeles Lakers | +6000 |
Brook Lopez -154
The big man from the Bucks is managing to stay atop the DPOY race. The 34-year-old is averaging 2.5 blocks, 0.5 steals and contributing 4.7 defensive rebounds per game.
Lopez’s consistency on the defensive end has paid off, as he has always stayed near the top of the list. In the past couple of weeks, the big man gained ground on Jaren Jackson Jr. in the race for DPOY. This week, the center has emerged as the favorite to win the award at -154.
Jaren Jackson Jr. +140
The Grizzlies’ young star remains near the top of the DPOY race for yet another week. The former Spartan is averaging 3.1 blocks, 5.0 defensive rebounds, and one steal per game.
Jackson Jr. has led the DPOY race for most of the year but now finds himself facing adversity and falling behind. Can the young forward pull it out and bring home the award with a strong finish down the stretch?
Bam Adebayo +2200
The Miami Heat center enters another week sitting at +2200 to win the Defensive Player of the Year award.
Adebayo is averaging 7.0 defensive rebounds, 1.2 steals, and just under one block per game at 0.8. Time is running out for the former Kentucky star to make a push to the top of the DPOY race.
Giannis Antetokounmpo +2500
The star forward makes his presence known on both ends of the floor, so it comes as no surprise that he remains within the top five. Antetokounmpo is averaging 9.6 defensive rebounds, 0.7 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game.
Giannis is making a last-minute push to grab yet another DPOY award.
Anthony Davis +6000
Anthony Davis is one of the top talents in the league, both offensively and defensively. The former Kentucky Wildcat is as effective as they come defensively. Still, due to injuries for most of the season, Davis never really entered the running for Defensive Player of the Year.
Now Davis finds himself among the top five in the race for the DPOY award. The 30-year-old is averaging 9.2 defensive rebounds, 2.1 steals, and one block per game. Although it’s a long shot, can the versatile big man mix things up in the competition for the award?
